rEWRITING cHEDWORTH rOMAN vILLA
mARTIN pAPWORTH & jULIE rEYNOLDS
To celebrate the centenary of the villa at Chedworth being gifted to the nation in 1924, Julie Reynolds and Martin Papworth from the National Trust will share how the site has been re-imagined over the past 150 years. Hear how Dr Papworth’s exciting new research is rewriting the ‘end story’ of the villa, and perhaps even that of Roman Britain, through archaeological investigation both on site and from other Roman villas in the south west.
This event is generously supported by The National Trust.
