Cirencester history festival
24 October – 2 November ’25

TALKS ARE SELLING FAST BUT WE STILL HAVE AVAILABILITY FOR SOME AMAZING SPEAKERS INCLUDING…

‘Welcome to Cirencester History Festival! After last year’s roaring success we are back with another terrific programme of local, national and global history, reaching out to the curious of every age with stimulating talks and lectures, family events and community activities.
This year we’re delighted to introduce a new £5 ticket for under-22s across the entire talks programme, generously subsidised by The Organic Farmshop and the Woodroffe Benton Foundation – so we look forward to seeing the next generation of historians getting involved!
It promises to be another hugely inspiring week and we can’t wait to see you in the historic Capital of the Cotswolds this October half term!’

Dame Fiona Reynolds
President of Cirencester History Festival and former Director General of the National Trust
‘I love history, always have, and to be joining the Cirencester History Festival team is a total joy. For me history isn’t just about kings and wars, it’s about ordinary people, and the thrill of discovering traces of their ancient ways and obscure rites and rituals. That’s what I’ll be bringing to the line-up. Can’t wait to see you in October!’

Festival Ambassador, actor, writer and star of the BBC’s This Country and Myth Country
